Oh Kaaaaay. You might think. But trust me, this dish combines already yummy ingredients, making them taste even better. I had no idea of how good almond butter goes with vanilla ice cream. Drool!
It all happened when I came home from some cycling and thought: I need some ‘nanas, and some almond butter, and some cooling vanilla ice cream! Sprinkled with ground hemp seeds it turned out to be one of my most favourite quick snacks.
So, you just have to try this super easy and quick dish to understand my passion for the unique combination of flavours and textures.
And as soon as I have finally bought my own ice cream machine I will share my recipe for vegan, gluten-free and low-sugar vanilla ice cream
For 2 portions you’ll need:
2 FAIR-TRADE bananas
some cooking oil
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
2 teaspoon almond butter
some ground hemp seeds (optional)
Peel and cut the bananas in half. Then cut them in length so you have even halves.
Heat up some cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the bananas for a few minutes on each side.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with almond butter and ground hemp seeds sprinkled all over 😉
